How To Return an Abt Product

According to the Abt electronics return policy, there are two ways to return an item yourself. You can either do it in-store (if you live in the Chicago area) or send it back via mail. For oversized/overweight products, Abt arranges pickups. If returning a product via mail, you will be paying for the shipping costs. The only exceptions to this rule are the items that were defective upon arrival and UPS shipments.

If you cancel the order or refuse the delivery, you may have to pay the shipping fees.

In-Store Returns

You can return a product directly to one of the Abt stores, but this return method is somewhat restricted and mostly suitable for customers from Illinois since they operate at a single location in Glenview.

Mail Returns via UPS

To return an order via mail, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account on the Abt website
  2. Choose the products you want to return from the list of your orders
  3. Print your return shipping label and attach it to both the original box and any additional cardboard box used to secure the product
  4. Remove the original labels and mark off the old tracking number
  5. Take the package to a UPS Shipping Center nearby

The Abt return policy enables free returns for qualifying orders only within the continental U.S. (except for orders from Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico).

Pickups for Oversized/Overweight Products

If an oversized/overweight product was delivered to you via a Freight/LTL carrier, Abt will arrange a pickup from your address.
