What Is a Costco Executive Membership?

Costco memberships are available to all individuals 18 years of age and over. They have the right to refuse membership to any person who wants to apply and terminate their memberships without cause. Take a look at some other rules that apply to Costco’s memberships:

  • The membership fee lasts for 12-months
  • You may have one Executive Membership per household or business
  • You should report lost or stolen cards to Costco ASAP or call 1-800-774-2678
  • Cards are Costco’s property and have to be given back upon request

There are two types of Costco’s memberships:

  • Gold Star Costco Membership—This is a standard membership level. There are no special benefits, and it costs $60 per year
  • Gold Star Executive Costco Membership—The Executive Costco membership costs twice as much as the standard one—$120. It does come with a lot of benefits, the most important one being the cash-back option that we will talk about in detail below

If you are not satisfied with the service, you can always cancel Costco membership with the help of DoNotPay in just a few steps. And since many people are charged when their subscription renews automatically, you can avoid having to pay for free trials when they end by using our virtual credit card.
