B&H (or B&H Photo Video) gives you 30 days to return your product, regardless of how you bought it. The same return period applies to the products bought from the Used Department.
The equipment must be in the same condition and packaging as it was when you purchased it. All free additions that came with the product must also be returned. Not including these items will reduce the refund by the retail price of the addition in question.
If you received a defective item, B&H offers to repair, refund, or exchange it for the same or the manufacturer's equivalent model.
The B&H return policy doesn’t allow for returns of the following items:
- TVs, combos, computers, monitors 37" and larger, and computer software if the original package seal has been removed
- Electronic software downloads
- Consumable items that have been opened (film, tapes, bulbs, CDs, etc.)
- Computers built or modified according to customer’s request
- Underwater equipment that has been used
- Educational tapes and books

The B&H return policy states that you can initiate the return process over the phone. The call center number is 800.221.5743. After you dial it, these are the steps that follow:
- Remember the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number that the representative gives you
- Place the item and invoice in the original packaging
- Write the RMA number on the outer box where it’s visible
- Address the package
- Ship your product via an insured carrier that provides tracking. Note that the mailing fees won’t be refunded to you

When it comes to starting the return process through the website, there are two options that the B&H return policy offers:

If it’s past B&H’s working hours, you’ll see a notification telling you when customer support will be back
After you fill out the RMA request, pack the product and send it to the company address. Remember to include the invoice together with the product and mark the package with the RMA number.
This return method is only accepted in B&H’s Returns Department that is a part of their New York Superstore.

- Credit card refunds need five to seven days to appear on your account
- Refunds will come in the form of checks if you use this payment method initially. They cannot be issued earlier than ten days after the purchase
