How to Appeal Your Banned Rocket League Account

Rocket League, a vehicular soccer video game produced by Psyonix, is a good way to pass time and entertain yourself. The platform accommodates everyone as signing up and playing the game is easy. However, a breach in the code of conduct might lead to account suspension or permanent banning. The good news is that you can successfully by writing to the company.

Rocket League has a system where you can send your banned account appeal. However, it might take a while for you to get a response from the team due to the high number of system users. DoNotPay helps you get a faster response by applying pressure on the company through the Unban Gaming Account product.

Why Was My Rocket League Account Banned?

provides a fun environment for all its users. Players who are found guilty of defaulting the code of conduct are reviewed and served with a temporary or permanent ban. The length of the ban, whether temporary or permanent, depends on the magnitude of the offense. There are four types of account bans that you can get, including:

1. Temporary Matchmaking Bans

Matchmaking and Party Skill are reward systems that use a Weighted Average to blend the average skill of all players and boost lower-ranked friends to catch up in matches. The first player to abandon the introductory matchmaking in a competition is given an automatic five-minute ban. You will be issued a warning once you attempt to leave the game, and the ban will be implemented immediately when you leave.

If you leave the second match within 12 hours of the first ban, you will receive a ten-minute ban. The ban durations will continue escalating with the number of competitive matches you leave prematurely.

2. Harassment Bans

Players who violate the code of conduct by using offensive language are given a game ban. Examples of violations that can earn you game bans include:

  • Racial slurs
  • Sexual slurs
  • Hate speech
  • Other socially unacceptable languages

The game bans start at 72 hours and can move to one week on a second offense. Extreme misconduct can earn you a permanent game ban. If you use less toxic language such as curse phrases, you will have chat bans, and/or game bans on your account. You can still play online, but with no access to the chatbox with other players. Chat bans start with 24 hours and can increase to 72 hours, then one month. Chat bans increase your chances of getting a game ban.

3. Tournament Bans

Quitting a competitive tournament hurts the score of other players, hence is not allowed. You are more likely to attract the following penalties if you quit a competitive tournament:

  • 15-minute matchmaking ban
  • A ban from the next Competitive Tournament
  • Barring from all-tournament awards

Further tournament defaulting will lead to:

  • 24-hour tournament ban
  • 7-day tournament ban
  • 24-hour matchmaking ban

4. Account Bans

Extreme misconduct will have your account permanently banned and all the linked accounts. Unlinking the account will not delete the ban. If the linked account was new, you could undo the ban by unlinking it from your Rocket League account.

What Can I Do After My Rocket League Account Is Banned?

Other than vulgar language, other gaming tendencies such as the use of bots are considered a violation of Rocket league policies. Rocket League gives all its players a chance to redeem themselves and get their accounts unbanned. Some bans, such as chat and tournament bans, are lifted with any action from the player. However, if the ban is longer, you can petition for unbanning through the following steps:

  1. Log onto the Rocket League Support Page and log in to your user account
  2. Click on the "Unban Appeal" or "Unban Request" and start filling out the unban form
  3. Fill in the required information, including:
  • Your full name
  • Country of location
  • Email address
  • Gaming platform used
  1. The final part of the form requires you to describe your appeal and explain your case briefly Rocket League will get back to you if the appeal is approved.
