How to Take Action After a Favor Account Is Suspended

Favor allows customers to get essential goods such as food, clothing, and medical supplies in less than one hour. It's also easy to become a favor "runner", managing available jobs and payouts through the app. Unfortunately, can happen to both Favor customers and the company's runners.

If customers can't get their accounts unbanned, their Favor orders won't be fulfilled (even if it's an emergency!).An account suspension for the runner could result in lost earnings from completed jobs, causing them to fall behind on their own personal needs. If Favor decides to ban your account over a one-time offense, DoNotPay could help you cancel the company's decision.

How Do Favor Customer Accounts Get Suspended?

Typically, for inappropriate treatment of Favor runners or using the app for nefarious reasons. The company does not tolerate the following:

Harassing Favor Runners

Favor users should never:

  • Use obscene or inappropriate language when speaking to a runner
  • Ask the runner personal or invasive questions
  • Attempt to contact the runner outside of the app without permission
  • Use physical abuse against the runner

Creating Unsafe Environments For Favor Runners

All Favor orders should be delivered at the resident's address, which must be easily accessible. That means you can't ask the runner to place your order in a dark alleyway, on a window ledge, or on your roof. If you own any pets, they should be kept inside until the runner has left the premises.

Using Favor Accounts for Illegal Purposes

You cannot use the Favor app to ask someone to commit a crime or organize any other form of harassment against another individual. You also shouldn't use the app to break laws. For instance, if you are 18 years old, using the app to order alcohol is strictly prohibited.

This clause also refers to ordering things that are on Favor's Restricted Products list. These items include:

  • Weapons
  • Offensive and/or hateful media and literature
  • Illegal drugs
  • Any cannabis products
  • Any biohazard materials
  • Other dangerous substances, like gas or gunpowder
  • Counterfeit items, such as fake concert tickets or coupon books
  • Live animals or organs from a deceased animal
  • Gift cards
  • Lottery tickets
  • Any items that are restricted by law in your area

The following products are allowed to be purchased through the Favor app, but only in certain quantities:

  • Cigarettes
  • OTC Medication
  • Whipped cream chargers (due to containing nitrous oxide)

For Favor Runners: Why Was Your Account Banned?

Just like Favor customers, runners also have to be respectful of customers and not put them in harm's way. Additionally, a can be banned due to:

Duplicate Charges

When placing an order for a Favor customer, sometimes the service can glitch out and use the customer's payment method twice. The system will flag it as if you were making repeated charges on purpose.

Poor Ratings

When you complete your delivery, the app will prompt the customer to leave a review. If you regularly receive 1-or 2-star reviews, your account could be flagged for suspension.

Frequent Customer Complaints

Besides leaving poor reviews, customers can directly reach out to the company about poor service. Depending on the severity of the issue, your account may be terminated after just one complaint!

For Favor, their delivery runners are considered to be representatives of the company. Too many public complaints about their runners on social media are bad for business, so misbehaved runners are removed whenever possible.

However, sometimes suspensions are automatically issued without looking into the situation. For instance, there could be a winter storm that affects your area for a few days. Obviously, some deliveries might arrive late as you carefully work through snow and ice.

Shortages related to food or other supplies can also cause some orders to be incomplete. It's hardly fair to hold a runner responsible for situations that are out of their control!

How to Ask Favor About Appealing Your Suspended Account

If you believe that your Favor account was wrongfully banned, both customers and runners have three methods of contacting the company:

  • Email: contact@favordelivery.com
  • Phone: 855-623-3287
  • Twitter: @Favor_Support

A phone call is the most immediate way to explain your situation. However, you may only get to speak with a real human if you call within normal business hours.

Additionally, it's easy to forget about explaining important details over a call. With email or social media, you can collect your thoughts through text. You can also attach any message screenshots or other photos as proof of your innocence.
