Can You Refund Perishable Items?

Perishable foods are those that are likely to spoil, decay, and essentially become unsafe to consume if it is not kept refrigerated at a certain temperature. With that said, if you've bought a perishable item through Ocado, it may not be that simple to make a return. According to Ocado, they are unable to refund perishable items unless there is something wrong with the item.

If you've simply changed your mind about the delivery, Ocado will not be able to issue a refund. It's important to note that Ocado's return policy is in accordance with statutory rights under Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Ocado Refund Policy

Ocado clearly outlines its refund policy for customers who are looking to return their items and receive a refund. Although perishable items cannot be returned unless there is an issue, non-perishable items have a different refund policy that's important to know.

If you want to return a non-perishable item, you can return it to them for free within 28 days of your delivery and receive a refund. You have two options when it comes to returning your items. You can either:

  1. Hand the items you no longer want to the driver when they deliver your current order.
  2. You can return something from a previous order by filling out this form.

Keep in mind that Ocado asks that you return products in their original packaging and unused. For instance, if a product is sealed or has a hygiene seal, you should not remove this seal unless you plan on keeping it.

Missing Items

If you ordered something from Ocado, but the item was never delivered to you, you can still request a refund. For orders with missing items received within the last 7 days, you can select the request refund link directly from the orders page and follow the instructions. If it has been more than 7 days, you still have an opportunity to request a refund. However, you will need to use the Contact Us Form.
