Can You Get a Squarespace Refund for Subscription Plans?

If you cancel your Squarespace subscription, you may be eligible for a refund, but it all depends on the type of subscription and on how long ago you've signed up for it.

You can get a refund if you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of the signup. This is an automatic process, so there is no need to request a refund.

If you are subscribed for longer than 14 days, you cannot get a refund.

The company doesn't refund for monthly subscriptions either, regardless of when you cancel your account.

Can You Get a Refund From Squarespace if Your Subscription Renews Automatically?

No, Squarespace doesn't issue refunds for renewal payments. The auto-renew option can be disabled, and the company will notify you 15 days before the billing date.

If your account gets auto-charged, the financial obligations are completely your responsibility.

Can You Get a Squarespace Refund for Mobile Start Plans?

In case you have a Mobile Start plan purchased through the Squarespace App or Commerce App, you may be eligible for a refund, but you need to check with Apple and process the refund through them.

Can You Get a Refund for the Squarespace Domain?

Regarding domains, you can get an automatic refund under these two circumstances:

  • If you deactivate your domain within five days of registration
  • In case you disable the auto-renew option following the renewal charge but before the domain's expiration date

The five-day rule doesn't apply for .co.uk, .de, or .uk domains, as well as for domains transferred to Squarespace.

If your domain auto-renews and you forget to cancel it, the charge is not eligible for a refund.

What Is the Squarespace G Suite Refund Policy?

You have a 14-day window to cancel your G Suite plan and get a refund. You have to do it after the company charges you for auto-renewal but before the actual renewal date.

Other than during this window, you cannot get a refund regardless of whether your plan is monthly or annual.

In Which Cases Can I Get a Squarespace Prorated Refund?

Some situations will make you eligible for a prorated refund:

  1. When you switch from annual to monthly billing, you can get either a full refund or a prorated refund for the unused time. The type of refund depends on how much time you have left on your annual subscription
  2. If you downgrade your plan, you'll get a prorated refund for the price difference between the two plans

  3. Click on the Contact Us button at the top
