The company has an array of services and different subscription plans, each of them coming with an extensive cancellation and refund policy. DoNotPay can help you navigate through the abundance of information and get your money back in no time.

The Basics of the Wix Refund Policy

Whether you can get a refund from Wix depends on several factors. Each Wix product and subscription plan has its own rules regarding cancellations and refunds.

But the Wix refund policy is not too strict, and the company encourages you to contact them if you think you deserve a refund even if you don’t fit the eligibility criteria.

Can I Get a Refund for Wix Premium Plans?

If you have a Premium plan, you can get a full refund as long as you cancel it within the 14 days from the purchase or upgrade.

You may be paying for your subscription on a monthly or annual basis, but the refund rules are the same for both types.

Can I Get a Wix Refund for Ascend Plans?

If you are not satisfied with your Wix Ascend plan, you have 14 days from the purchase to cancel it and get a full refund. If more than 14 days pass, you will have to contact Wix support to inquire about a refund.

Can I Get a Wix Domain Refund?

Wix domains are not eligible for a refund, even within the first 14 days of the purchase. Domains are also subscription-based and you can cancel them anytime, but there are no refunds for partially used time.

Does Wix.com Refund Ticket Purchased on Wix Events?

You can request a refund for tickets bought on Wix Events, but not on the Wix platform. The refund has to be processed through the payment gateway you used for the purchase. If you paid with your PayPal account, you need to request a PayPal refund

What Other Wix Purchases Are Non-Refundable?

Here are some of the Wix products and services for which the sale is final and refunds are not possible.

  • Wix Logo purchases
  • Third-party app upgrades
  • Wix’s Facebook Ads campaigns

Getting a Wix Refund on a Company Website

If you want to get a full refund for your Premium plan, you have to cancel it within 14 days from the purchase. Once you do that, you will receive a refund automatically.

Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Open the Wix website
  2. Click the Sign In button in the top right corner
  3. Click on your name
  4. Choose Account Settings from the drop-down menu
  5. Select the Subscriptions tab
  6. Find the plan you want to cancel and click the Show More icon next to it
  7. Click Cancel Plan
  8. Click Cancel Now in the pop-up window

Getting a Wix Refund via the Chatbot

If you purchased your plan more than 14 days ago, canceling it won’t get you a refund. Wix still offers you an opportunity to contact them and explain why you believe you are eligible for a refund. You can do this by initiating a chat with their chatbot.

Here are the steps to take:

  1. Open the Wix website
  2. Click the Support button in the header
  3. Scroll down until you reach the Show More button and click it
  4. Find the About Wix section
  5. Click Show All
  6. Select Contacting Wix Customer Care
  7. Choose Contacting Wix Customer Care for Support
  8. Click on the Get Started button
  9. Write Refund in the chatbox and click Send
  10. Click Request a refund
  11. Follow the prompts to send a refund request

If the chatbot redirects you to your subscription page and you see that you are not eligible for a refund, go back to the chatbot and answer No when asked if your problem is solved.

You will then be connected to a Customer Care Expert.

Getting a Wix Refund Over the Phone

How Long Until Wix Refund Shows Up in My Account?

It can take up to 20 days for the funds to be returned to your bank account.

Take note that if you cancel your subscription within 72 hours from the purchase, the transaction will probably be canceled. This means that the funds will be removed from hold in your account.

How Do I Check the Status of My Refund Request?

When you submit a refund request, it will be in a Pending status until a decision is made.

You can check the status on the Refunds page, but make sure to log into your account before.

If your request is not there, it means that it was either approved or denied and you should have received an email from support@wix.com.

In case you don’t see any emails, contact the Wix support team to check the status.
