How to Make a Complaint to NOW TV

One look at page and you’ll see that there are dozens of ways to file a grievance with the company. Some of the choices include

  • Cancelling memberships
  • Bills and payments
  • Trouble watching
  • Problems with the NOW Box or Smart Stick
  • Vouchers or offers

Each has its own list of ways to handle the situation, ranging from troubleshooting you can try on your own to speaking to a customer service rep.

You can always read through some of the numerous articles to see if you can solve the problem on your own, or you can choose the ‘Get in touch‘ option. This will lead you to another page with even more options, which include

  • NOW Broadband and Calls
  • Technical and device issues
  • NOW accounts and payments
  • Vouchers and offers
  • NOW Membership
  • Feedback and complaints

If you choose the feedback and complaints, this rabbit hole will lead you to complaints about your NOW TV, which will then lead you to a place where you really can make a complaint. From there, you’ll sign in to your account, and you can finally file a complaint. You’ll just fill out a form and wait to hear back from NOW TV.

According to NOW TV, they will try to have your complaint resolved in 10 days max. This isn’t always possible, however. If you aren’t satisfied, you can file a complaint with NOW management, and they will review it, and get back to you.

Alternative Ways to File a Complaint Against NOW TV

When you can’t resolve things with NOW TV after filing a complaint, there are other options out there that you can resort to.

CISAS

NOW TV recommends that you contact CISAS (Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme), Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution if you aren’t satisfied with the results after contacting NOW TV. If you haven’t gotten a satisfactory answer after eight weeks, CISAS will take a look at the situation. NOW TV states on its site that it will honour whatever decision CISAS comes to.

ADR Schemes

If you’re not happy with how things are going, but aren’t ready to dive into the murky waters of the Small Claims Court, then you can always try ADR Schemes. ADR is short for Alternative Dispute Resolution, and it helps get a satisfactory ending without all the drama.

ADR Schemes can help in two different ways:

  1. A mediator will listen to your side, and then to NOW TV to hear the whole story. Then they will try to help you both reach a solution without things escalating any further.
  2. An arbitration will take a look at the case. They won’t work with you to come to an agreement with NOW TV, however. They will make a decision that both you and NOW TV will be legally bound to honour.

Ombudsman

A third option is to seek the assistance of an Ombudsman. This is a third party who will look over the case, and make a decision based on the facts.

This is actually connected to CISAS, as well as Ofcom.

Small Claims Court

If these other avenues don’t work out, you can always turn to Small Claims Court. If you’re seeking a sum larger than £10,000, then you won’t reach satisfaction according to Small Claims Court Genie. The courts won’t hear your case if it’s in excess of this amount.
