• The amount payable that your renewal notice states. Transact using a money order, credit or debit card, cash, or cheques (payable to NJMVC.)
• Vehicle registration application (Completed) (Form BA-49.)
• An approved appointment.

4. Mail

Please make sure you have the following items before sending your registration request:

• Completed Registration Renewal Notice. You must complete both the front and back of the form
• Return envelope offered together with the notice
• Make the payment needed as specified on your renewal notice by cheque or money order (payable to NJMVC)

In the return envelope given with your notification, place a money order or cheque for the amount mentioned (payable to NJMVC). Please double-check that the address is visible via the envelope window.

What if You Lose Your New Jersey Renewal Notice?

If you've misplaced your renewal notice or pin, but are yet within the renewal period, kindly renew your registration online. Select "Help!" from the drop-down menu. Then pick "I lost my PIN!" to request a new one.

Replacement Registration For Leased Vehicles in New Jersey: Special Considerations

If you have a leased car and damaged or lost the registration, you must notify your leasing company to receive permission to file for a replacement registration. The vehicle owner must provide you with a Power of Attorney that states:

• A statement of authority
• Vehicle identification information such as model, make, year, and VIN
