What Happened With the YETI Recall?

A voluntary has been recently announced on the Rambler® 20 oz Travel Mug with Stronghold Lid because of an issue with its MagSlider™ lid. If the mug contains hot liquids and gets agitated in some way, the lid may release its contents, which can cause severe burns and other injuries. The only travel mugs that were affected were sold on and in YETI retail stores between 10/1/2020 and 10/9/2020.

YETI travel mugs bought at other retailers, or outside of that specific time window, are not to receive the refund.

To create and file a claim for the Yeti recall on the Rambler® 20 oz Travel Mug, there are two key pieces of information you must gather:

  1. The SKU of the product, which you can find on the product packaging slip or receipt.
  2. The date code, which is located on the button of the travel mug.

Once you have collected the above information, you can fill out the official return form, which can be found at the bottom of this YETI recall page. After you have submitted the form, and it has been verified by YETI, the company will send you a prepaid UPS envelope for you to mail your faulty lid. When YETI receives your lid, you will receive your refund.
