League of Legends Refund Policy
The League of Legends Refund Policy states that the players lose their right to change their mind, cancel the order, or get a refund if they are given immediate access to the digital content. In other words, if you download the content, you lose your right for a refund. There are exceptions in the League of Legends’ strict refund policy.
How Do League of Legends Refund Tokens Work?
When you log in to your account for the first time, you have three refund tokens. The refund tokens can be used to get a refund for the content that has been purchased within the 90-day limit. Each item you get a refund for will cost you one token. If you’ve purchased the Spirit Blossom Yasuo skin, you will have to spend a token to get a refund for it.
Once your item is processed, you will receive the same currency and amount you used for the transaction. For example, if Spirit Blossom Yasuo costs RP 1350, you will get that exact amount of RP back.
Items You Can Refund
The following items can be returned through the game client:
- Champions
- Skins
- Wards skins
- Individual chromas
- Emotes
- Rune pages
- Summoner name changes
- Summoner icons
- Chroma packs
Please note that Rune pages, Summoner icons, and Chroma packs cannot be refunded using the client. These items must be refunded by submitting a ticket.
Items You Can’t Refund
As stated in the League of Legends’ refund policy, these are the items that cannot be refunded:
- Boosts
- Account transfers
- Bundles
- Promotional items
- Esports summoner icons
- Gifts
- Hextech inventory (keys, shards, chests, etc.)
- Event passes
You cannot get a refund for boosts because this specific item is consumable. Bundles cannot be refunded because the cost of a bundle is based on the content you already own. Esports summoner icons are non-refundable because 20% of the price goes directly to the team in question, and the other 80% supports prizes, streaming, events, and more. Promotional items are not eligible for refunds because those items are free or unlocked, rather than purchased.
Possible Issues When Requesting a League of Legends Refund
If you’ve purchased an item in the LoL store by accident or you’ve mis-clicked, you will still have to use a token to refund it. In this case, you will not get a free refund. Riot Games will not provide free refunds for accidental purchases because a token was implemented to handle these situations.
It is also important to remember that LoL does not provide cash refunds for RP purchases and gifts.
