Cancel Your UPS Shipment the Easy Way
United Parcel Service, or UPS, handles shipping and receiving for customers in the US and elsewhere. You can visit a UPS store in your area to get your packages handled promptly. If you no longer need a package sent with arrangements using DoNotPay for even more convenience.
DoNotPay is here to offer guidance on cancellations and more. No matter if it's through UPS or another business, DoNotPay can help.
First, Try to Cancel With the Original Company
If you placed an order online, you should attempt to cancel your delivery through the original company you purchased from. Say you bought an item off Walmart's website or something unique from Etsy, you can stop the order from ever going through to the UPS shipping department. Whether you've bought used goods off eBay or something brand new elsewhere, the Cancel Anything product from DoNotPay can help you get it handled.
If you missed the cancellation window and the package has already been picked up by UPS, you will need to contact them instead.
Try Contacting UPS Yourself
You are, of course, free to contact UPS yourself to get your shipment canceled. It may just take more time and breed frustration. Reach out to them via phone or online for the fastest service.
The customer service team is typically available between 6 AM to 1 AM EST, daily.

Note that UPS uses the term "void" for canceling shipments. When you're trying to find information on their site, be sure you navigate to the "Void a Shipment" page.
Void Your Shipment Online
The fastest route is to void your shipment online. You will need to have an account and log in to do this. In your shipping history, you should see a vertical ellipsis icon that looks like 3 dots in a straight column. Click this, and then:
- Open the Actions menu.
- Find the "Void" option.
- Make your final selections and watch for the red void icon to appear next to the shipment details.
Use the Virtual Assistant
UPS also offers a virtual assistant. You can ask your questions and get your shipments voided through this online option. Simply type "void a shipment" and the assistant will walk you through the steps.
Use the Email Form
Rather than offering a support email, UPS has a form available for you to fill out. They ask that you log in to an account first so the support team can respond as promptly as possible with all of the information already at their disposal. Once you sign in, you can then leave a message that they will respond to when they can.
How Long Do I Have to Void a Shipment?
You may only void a shipment with UPS up to 90 days after a shipping label was created. This is for online voiding only. You can still contact customer service and request a void up to 180 days after the creation of a label. Past 180 days, you can no longer cancel.
