Can I Cancel a Hawaiian Airlines Flight?

You can any day before the ticket expires. You will not be charged cancellation fees. Instead, you can use the unused value of the canceled ticket to get another ticket before the expiry date of the first ticket.

To cancel your Hawaiian Airlines flight:

  1. Log in to your Hawaiian Airlines account through the website or mobile app
  2. Access your current reservation itinerary by visiting the 'My Trips' tab
  3. Input the last name of the guest who booked the reservation and the six-letter confirmation code or ticket number associated with the reservation
  4. Select "View My Trip."
  5. Search for the cancellation instructions in the blue box at the top of the itinerary page
  6. Read through the instructions and click the "Cancel reservation now and rebook later" button to proceed
  7. Click the "Yes, cancel my reservation" button to complete your cancellation request.

When your flight is successfully canceled, you will receive a confirmation message containing your confirmation code and a 13-digit E-Ticket number. Keep the information secure, as you will need it to rebook in the future.

You will miss the "Cancel reservation now and rebook later" button if your flight is not eligible for cancellation. If you have trouble canceling your flight or need to rebook, contact the Hawaiian Airlines Reservations department via chat, text, or phone.

NOTE: You can only cancel bookings on flights that the company has not canceled. If your flight has been canceled, follow the instructions on your follow-up email for further directives.

Once you have successfully canceled an online booked flight, you will not be able to rebook online; you need to go to Hawaiian Airlines for bookings. The cancellation process does not apply to bookings made via an online travel website or travel agency.

Can I Get a Refund From Hawaiian Airlines?

Hawaiian Airlines does not offer refunds on regular flight tickets unless stated otherwise. However, tickets canceled within the first 24 hours of purchase, for booking made seven days before the flight, are refunded fully at no extra cost.

The refunds are made within the first seven working days after submitting your application and sent to you through the payment method you used while making your order.

Other terms that allow you to utilize unused flight tickets include:

  1. Wholly unused tickets are valid for transport to anywhere for one year after purchase
  2. Partially used tickets are valid for use for one year after the first usage
  3. You can redeem flight coupons in the order they came in
  4. Extra Comfort seating is available on all flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines and is non-transferable, and only valid for the purchased flight ticket
  5. Extra Comfort seat purchases are non-refundable but transferable between flights
  6. If Hawaiian Airline is unable to accommodate your Extra Comfort Seat purchases, you will receive a full refund through your initial payment method
