Cancel Experian services in two minutes or less

Experian is a company specializing in consumer credit reports, debt histories, and payment histories. The company collects data on over one billion people

How to cancel your Experian account with DoNotPay

Canceling Experian manually is a bit complicated process. Luckily, you can close your account with DoNotPay in just a few easy steps. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Enter the DoNotPay app in any web browser. Alternatively, download the app from the Apple Store.
  2. Click ‘Find Hidden Money’
  3. Enter “Experian” as the company whose services you want to cancel.

Once we cancel your account, we will send you an email confirmation.

Can I pause my Experian subscription instead of canceling it?

No, you cannot. The company will save your data for several weeks (usually a month), so you can reopen the account within this period without going through the entire sign-up process. If you decide to restart your membership more than a month after your cancelation, the company will treat you as a brand-new member.

Does Experian prorate their cancelations?

Not for all subscription plans. If you are a CreditExpert user, you are entitled to a refund after you cancel your membership. The company will give you two weeks to change your mind, and if you still want to unsubscribe after this period, you will get your money back

Will my Experian free trial auto-renew into a paid subscription?

Yes, it will. Experian offers a 30-day free trial to all its new customers. In order to sign up, you need to enter your credit card details. Once your free trial expires, it will automatically turn into a paid subscription, and you will be charged $19.99 on a monthly basis. To avoid these costs, you need to cancel your free trial while it is still ongoing.

DoNotPay can help you avoid getting billed after the free trial!

When people sign up for a free trial, they tend to forget about canceling it on time. They usually realize that their subscription is active only when they notice unexpected expenses on their bank statements. To help you avoid this issue, DoNotPay can provide you with a virtual credit card. To Experian, it will seem like a regular credit card, but they won’t be able to charge after your free trial is over.
