However, none of the methods are swift–the provider states that it can take up to 30 days for a medical records request to be processed. Additionally, the provider notes that they "may" charge a fee for the request.

Accessing Your Records Electronically

Salem Hospital provides patients with instant access to their records through My Chart. To view your records on My Chart, you must first go to the website and sign up. After that, you can follow these steps:

  1. If you have requested that the documents be sent to your My Chart, you can log in and click on the Download Document to download your requested records.
  2. The records will be available on My Chart for 30 days, and you can print them.
  3. You can request additional records by clicking on Document Center. All records requested in the past 30 days will be available.

You can also request your medical records online through HealthMark Request Manager through these steps:

  1. Enter your email address
  2. You will receive an email containing a link that you must click to complete the process.
  3. Select "Open New Request"
  4. Choose "Request Type"
  5. Fill in the required fields and click "Submit Request."
