In short, it's a program designed to save you money at the pump. It's sort of like using points from your credit card, except you can only use the points you earn on gas and not other items like airplane miles, hotel rooms, and online purchases.

Using Your Irving Rewards Points

Your Irving Rewards points do have an expiration date. They are good for the remainder of the month you earned the points, plus 60 days, but then they expire. If you plan to use them to save on fuel, you should use them sooner rather than later, so that you don't lose them.

Also, you have to swipe your card when you purchase an item at Irving, or your points won't be applied. It's all done electronically, so if you forget to swipe, you simply don't get the points. They can't be added later.

As far as earning points, you can only earn rewards on purchases up to 30 gallons in a single transaction.
