The process of requesting your SOPHAS fees waived is different for every type of fee waiver. To get a financial-based or service-based fee waiver, do the following:

To request a financial-based fee waiver, you’ll have to complete one of the following Federal Income Tax Return Forms:

If you’re listed as a dependent by a parent on their Federal Income Tax Return Form, you should upload your parent’s form.

International-Based Fee Waiver Requirements

To qualify for an international-based fee waiver, you need to be a citizen and currently reside in one of the countries from the United Nations Least Developed Countries list. The list includes:
