How to Connect With an Inmate at Vienna Correctional Institution

Vienna Correctional Institution (VCI) is an adult male minimum-security prison located in Johnson County, Illinois. The facility is managed by the Illinois Department of Corrections and has a capacity of 1969 inmates.

  • VCI was built in 1965 and was the first of its kind certified by the American Correctional Association.
  • The facility offers a wide range of educational and vocational programs for its inmates, including credits to earn a GED.

Part of encouraging inmate rehabilitation is keeping them in touch with members of their family and friends. However, the arduous procedures involved in contacting an inmate make that difficult.

DoNotPay can help you get in touch with an inmate at Vienna Correctional Institution without a hassle. All you need to do is sign up, tell us how you want to contact the inmate and we'll handle the rest.

You can send a letter to an inmate at Vienna Correctional Center with the following address.

Inmate Name, ID Number

Vienna Correctional Center

Every mail item sent to an inmate must contain a valid return address. All items will be opened and screened for contraband before the inmate receives it.

Inmates at the facility may also receive books, magazines and photographs, sent to the inmate's mailing address. For published materials, you can only send them to an inmate directly from the vendor (must be a reputable vendor and not a third party). You can also purchase a regular subscription for books and magazines.

Note that all material sent to an inmate must not contain any nudity or explicit content. Sending unauthorized materials to an inmate may lead to suspension of the inmate's mail privileges.

2. How to Contact an Inmate via Phone

While you can get in touch with an inmate via phone, you cannot place a direct call to the inmate as incoming calls are prohibited by the facility.

To receive a call from an inmate, your name and number must be registered with a Securus account and be listed on the inmate's approved caller's list. Securus is the service provider responsible for facilitating telephone communication between inmates and their loved ones.

All visitors must report and be processed before 6:00 PM to gain entry to the premises. All inmates have a visitation limit of up to 7 visits a month.
