Your Guide to Claim on Niagara Water Recall
We drink water every day and are advised to drink at least eight glasses per day. We expect the water we buy from stores to be safe and healthy. What happens when bacteria such as E. coli accidentally get into the manufacturing or bottling of our water?
Recently, Niagara Water issued a recall. Product recalls are requests from the manufacturer to return a product over concerns about the product's safety. Product recalls may be due to a defect in the production that may endanger the consumer's life. Recalls have been made on Neutrogena and sunscreen, Philips Cpap, motor vehicles, Metformin, dog food, and Peloton bikes. California has also made some recalls.
Whether it's Niagara , Tyson chicken, or Hot Pocket recalls, we want to know if our health has been put in danger.
This guide will explain the , how you can find out if your water has been recalled, and how DoNotPay can help make claiming your recall a snap.
How Do I Make a Claim for the Niagara Water Recall
Would you like to know if your water has been contaminated? You can contact Niagara Water at Niagarawater.com or call (888) 943-4894.
However, with the large number of bottled water produced by each day, imagine the number of calls and hours spent waiting for your turn.
There are problems with this plan.
First, you would have to check if you bought the water from the states specified by Niagara Water. But if you have been traveling and buying bottled water in any of the states identified, you would never really know if you could have been eligible. Who keeps track of where they purchased their water and when?
Niagara Water also specified 14 products that were affected by the recall. You would have to sift through the names of the products you use if included. Next would be to check the Best Buy codes on the outer-wrap shrink film. Do you list down the names of the water bottles you buy from your store or even look at the Best Buy codes?
Niagara Water may specify what products might have been contaminated, but it requires that you have the bottle. It will be hard to trace if you've already gotten rid of the bottle.
If you got sick due to the water, you deserve to be compensated and, at the very least, get a rebate from Niagara Water for what you purchased, but nothing was mentioned on their website. This is why you need DoNotPay.
What Happened With the Niagara Water Recall?
"Niagara Bottling ("Niagara") issued a voluntary recall of spring water produced at two Pennsylvania plants from June 10-18th, 2015, because the operator at one of our contracted springs failed to notify us that there was evidence of E. coli bacteria at the spring source. "
As of September 7, 2015, upon further inspection of the facilities, Niagara Water has indicated that there was no longer any E.coli contamination at their plant. All the other water samples they received were absent of any E.coli. They have been closely coordinating with local and federal authorities on the matter.
Who Is Eligible for the Niagara Water Recall?
"Our voluntary recall only affects SPRING WATER (Not Purified Water) manufactured at our Hamburg, PA and Allentown, PA facilities between June 10 - June 18th, 2015.
The Best By codes on outer-wrap shrink-film or the bottle for the affected cases would be in the range of:
- F# BEST BY 08DEC2016 to F# BEST BY 16DEC2016
- A# BEST BY 08DEC2016 to A# BEST BY 16DEC2016
**F# indicates the Hamburg plant and line number.
A# indicates the Allentown plant and line number ."
