The Process of Obtaining A Passport

The Pakistani Consulate offers three passport services:

  1. Renewal/New/Modification of Passports

Conducting a Renewal, Getting a New or Modifying a Pre-Existing Passport

To conduct a renewal, modify or get a new passport, you will need the following:

  1. A physical presence at a consulate
  2. An authentic and valid Pakistani NADRA ID with a photocopy of the front and back
  3. A copy of your Pakistani National Identity Card or a Child Registration Card with custodial papers in the case of a minor whose parents are separated
  4. An original passport with a photocopy of its biopages (2 pages in total)
  5. A verified U.S. proof of residence within the consulate’s jurisdiction (state driver’s license, utility bills)
  6. If you desire a mailed passport, include a self-addressed, prepaid envelope

Misplaced Passports

Additionally, in the case that you’ve lost a passport, you will need to include the following: 

  1. A photocopy of your lost passport
  2. A Police Report containing the lost passport’s number
  3. If you’ve lost your passport for the third time, you’ll need internal governmental approval from the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to get another one

Citizens of Two Nations
