All About The Ohio Reformatory For Women

The Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) is an Ohio state prison that was first established in 1916. Known as "the farm," it was originally a fully functional farm operated by the inmates, complete with livestock and crops. The ORW is frequently called the Marysville prison because of its location in Marysville, Ohio. It sits on nearly 260 acres of what was once farmland.

The ORW's current warden is Teri Baldauf and the facility is home to over 2,300 inmates.

ORW was the first prison in Ohio, and only the fifth in the United States, to develop a program that keeps infants with their mothers during incarceration. This program is called the Achieving Baby Care Success program.

If your loved one is currently incarcerated, it can be frustrating to stay in touch. DoNotPay can help you stay in contact with your friend or loved one at the Ohio Reformatory for Women throughout their imprisonment.
