Aside from Generac, we are also working on recalls for:

What Is the Generac Recall?

According to the Pittsburgh Legal Examiner, recorded over 300,000 portable generators. Figuring out if yours is one of them is essential. The recalled generators are seriously dangerous, and they can cause finger amputations or crushing injuries.

If you have one of the 6,500 or 8,000-watt generators below, stop using it and make a claim immediately:

  • XT8000E
  • XT8000EFI
  • GP6500
  • GP6500E
  • GP8000E
  • HomeLink 6500E
  • PRO 6500M
  • PRO 6500E

Generac customers have experienced serious injuries, thanks to a defect in some Generac portable generators. When the handle of certain Generac portable generators is moved, it can crush fingers hard against the side of the generator. This is because the handle does not lock. Seven people have lost fingers because of this Generac defect. One other customer was injured, but their finger was not amputated.

If you have a Generac portable generator that has been affected by the recall, stop using it immediately. Generac will send you a free repair kit to fix the issue. Do not use your generator until the kit arrives, and the handle has been fixed.
