All About The Ford First Responder Rebate

Society enjoys rewarding those who live a life of service, frequently in the form of discounts at a business. From travel to dining experiences, there are a variety of perks available to first responders. Ford also subscribes to this philosophy, offering discounts to first responders on their vehicle purchases. If you are a first responder in the market for a new car, DoNotPay can help you get Ford's first responder rebate.

Ford First Responder Rebate

Eligibility

As part of "Ford Salutes Those Who Serve", first responders can get $500 cashback when they lease or purchase a Ford or Lincoln vehicle. Several groups of active first responders and household members are eligible for this offer:

  1. 911 Dispatchers
  2. Police, Sheriffs and Deputies, Correctional Officers, State Troopers, and some Federal Law Enforcement Officers, including the Department of Public Safety and the CIA
  3. Career and Volunteer Firefighters
  4. EMTs and Paramedics

This offer covers the purchase or lease of most Ford and Lincoln vehicles with model years between 2021 and 2023 and can be used up to five times. If you have not already purchased your vehicle, you have until January 3, 2023, to get it from a dealer. The offer does not apply to the following vehicles:

  1. Bronco
  2. Ford GT
  3. F-150 Raptor
  4. F-150 Lightning
  5. Mustang Shelby® GT500®
  6. Mustang Mach 1
  7. Mustang Mach-E

How to Claim Your Rebate

To claim this offer, you must first verify that you are eligible by registering with ID.me. Different documents will be accepted based on your occupation:

  • 911 Dispatchers - An ID Card with their name and title on it or a dispatcher certification issued within the past 48 months.
  • Law Enforcement Officers - A valid ID card that states their name and title, a Pay Stub that shows their occupational title, or certification issued within the past 48 months. Federal officers can use their SF-50 from the Office of Personnel Management.
  • Firefighters - An ID card with their name and title on it, a certification issued within the past 48 months, or a valid membership card.
  • EMTs / Paramedics - A state license, a certification issued within the past 48 months, or an ID Card with their name and title on it.

If you are a retired first responder, ID.me will allow you to register, but this offer will not apply to you. Using a license or certification number usually results in immediate verification. If you upload documentation instead, you may experience a delay, but you will receive an email when it is processed. If you have recently moved or have your credit profile frozen, your verification may fail.

Ford Military Rebate

First responders aren't the only group getting rewarded. Ford also has a program for members of the military and their families. The following groups are eligible:

  • Active members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Reserve
  • Members of the National Guard and members of the Delayed Entry/Enlistment Program
  • Retirees, including Reserve Retirement, Early Retirement, and Medical Retirement
  • Veterans within 24 months of separation
  • Surviving spouses

As with the first responder program, your identity must be verified with ID.me. You can use a USAA membership, service records, a .mil email address, or other documentation. There are also programs available to service members who need adaptive equipment installed for accessibility purposes and those serving overseas.
