All About Dwolla's Terms of Service
Have you ever considered what the TOS of a website you frequently use say about their brand? When I agree to the Dwolla terms of service, what information do I give up? Dwolla is one of the most popular and fast-rising money-sending platforms.
Dwolla's Terms of Service outline the company's policies around user conduct, privacy, and ownership of information. The terms state that users may not use Dwolla for any illegal purpose or violate any local, state, national or international law.
Users agree that they will not impersonate another person or entity, including Dwolla employees, agents, or representatives. The DoNotPay tool is the most effective way to protect yourself and build a case that will result in compensation if you are ever the victim of a violation.
Dwolla Terms of Service
Dwolla, Inc. has created payment software that allows customers to send and receive money online without paying fees. Dwolla provides money transfer services on behalf of a financial institution partner. Dwolla facilitates all money transfer transactions for its bank partners. The current terms of services apply to you if you signed up for Dwolla Platform Services after September 15, 2020, or if you granted written approval to Dwolla.
A summary of Dwolla's terms of service are as follows:
- If You are a Guest, and You have read and agreed to this Agreement, You agree to all of the requirements of the Agreement applicable to the Guest Checkout Service (without limiting Your other commitments under this Agreement). There must be a genuine US bank account, and the Guest must be at least 18 years old to use it, as well as have the authorization to do so.
- To use the service, Your Receiver must direct you to a Dwolla Guest Services website (an established Dwolla customer).
- The Guest authorizes Us to perform debits and credits on the Guest's selected bank account using the Dwolla System.
- Your Dwolla account will be debited and credited if you are the Receiver.
- We must resolve any issues between the Guest and the Receiver.
- Your understanding of the Guest Checkout service is that it is provided on behalf of the Receiver (and existing Dwolla Users) as an electronic money transfer processing service rather than a bank service. For your safety, you understand that we are not acting as an escrow agent for Your funds but rather as the Receiver's representative.
- Your permission to receive all information from Dwolla in electronic form, to the extent permitted by law, in line with applicable laws; you may include electronic information in the Dwolla System and the Dwolla website.
- You are presumed to have received any electronic or paper information 48 hours after posting or delivery.
What Happens If Dwolla’s Terms of Service are Violated?
Following the terms of this Agreement, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Dwolla Platform Agreement ("Agreement"). This Agreement governs your use of the Dwolla Platform Services specified in this Agreement. If you break the Dwolla Terms of Service, Dwolla has the right to cancel your account or freeze any cash in it. They will terminate your account if Dwolla determines that you are no longer eligible to use any of the company's services.
