Offenders can make calls through GTL/OffenderConnect, a phone service provider. Outgoing collect calls are charged to your account while the inmate pays for debit calls. You have to open an account with GTL to receive prison calls. You can do this on their website or by calling 1-800-483-8314. The inmate can only have a maximum of 10 numbers on their contact list, excluding legal numbers. The staff monitor all calls between you and the inmate.

3. Sending mail

The Central Reception and Assignment Facility allows a limitless amount of correspondence through the mail with inmates allowed over 80 postage stamps which they can purchase from the commissary. All mail is opened, read, and inspected for contraband, except for legal mail. Apart from letters, you can also send "4x6" photos, although they should not contain nudity.

You are not allowed to send direct packages to an inmate in the facility. However, inmates can receive packages such as books and other publications ordered and delivered through a vendor such as Amazon. Difficulties You May Have Contacting Loved One in Central Reception and Assignment Facility

You are unlikely to access or make contact with an inmate if your name is not on their visitor or contact list. The institution only allows a maximum of 10 numbers, and getting a call from the inmate is unlikely if you are not among the 10. Waiting for approval to be on the visitor list may also take time as you have to write to them and wait for their approval. DoNotPay can, however, help you bypass all these hurdles and get in touch with family, friends, or loved ones on the other side. All you have to do is get onto DoNotPay's connect with an Inmate feature and provide their inmate I.D, name of the prison, and the unit in which they are located.

If you do not have any of the above required information, we can still help you.
